110KV PU Bending Limiter for Submarine Photoelectric Composite Cable

Product Infomation

In modern offshore energy and communications projects, the 110kV PU bend limiter is a specialized device designed to protect high-voltage submarine photovoltaic composite cables from excessive bending, fatigue, and long-term mechanical stress.

•

Bend limiter structure and advantages

• Polyurethane components

Each bend limiter unit consists of two tapered, locking structural elements that seamlessly connect to form a flexible and controllable assembly.

This modular design offers significant advantages in installation efficiency and maintenance ease, as individual components can be added or replaced without disrupting the entire system.

This modularity also allows the overall length to be customized to meet specific project requirements. The system typically consists of at least two such units connected in series to achieve the desired bend limiter curve.

• Flange connector

At the termination point, a dedicated flange connector unit completes the system, providing a secure connection to a fixed structure (such as a j-tube or platform connector).

The fastener components are typically made of super duplex stainless steel, which offers excellent corrosion resistance in marine environments.

How it works

When external forces act on the cable system, the limiter gradually engages, preventing all bending stresses from being transmitted directly through the cable unit and anchoring material to the termination point.

Polyurethane material advantages

• Corrosion-resistant components

• A relatively low density of 1.17 g/cm³ helps reduce loads on cable systems while maintaining positioning stability.

• The material's inherent properties include resistance to water, oil, low temperatures, and UV radiation, ensuring long-term performance regardless of installation in splash zones, full immersion, or exposure to sunlight.
