High-Pressure Hose Protection Sleeves Exported to Brazil
The client is a leading drilling contractor operating several offshore rigs in Brazil. During offshore operations, the platform's high-pressure hoses experienced severe, continuous friction against the derrick's steel structures, driven by high-velocity sea winds. Conventional protective sleeves were worn through in a short period, exposing the hose's wire reinforcement layer. This created critical safety hazards and a high risk of catastrophic hose failure.

The Solution
To address the requirements of the 200mm OD hoses, we engineered a comprehensive technical upgrade:
1. High-Performance Material (NDI Polyurethane): We utilized NDI-based polyurethane elastomers, known for their exceptionally low friction coefficient and superior impact resistance. This material is specifically formulated to withstand guillotine-style abrasive wear from sharp metal edges.
2. Reinforced Physical Barrier: For high-vibration environments, we designed a heavy-duty cross-section with a single-wall thickness of 5mm–8mm, ensuring long-term physical isolation under extreme pressure.
3. Precision Structural Integration: To accommodate hoses equipped with centralizers, we developed a segmented, snap-on design that fits precisely between units. Furthermore, we integrated a tapered ramp design compatible with the centralizers' 220mm–360mm transitions. This ensures the hose glides smoothly over structural edges during deployment or movement, preventing snagging or tensile failure.
4. Split-type Installation: The split-type configuration allows for installation without dismantling the heavy 200mm high-pressure couplings. Only two technicians are required to complete the bolt-on installation on deck, drastically reducing labor costs and platform downtime.

1. Lifespan Extension: External wear rates were reduced by over 85%, effectively insulating previously compromised areas.
